In order to get Reliance USB Data Card to work in Ubuntu, follow these steps:
Make sure wvdial is installed sudo apt-get install wvdial
Add the device configuration to your /etc/wvdial.conf
Replace <phone-number> with your 10 digit Reliance connection number.
[Dialer Defaults]
Phone =
Username =
Password =
New PPPD = yes
[Modem0]
Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0
Baud = 115200...
